Pele's Passion Aphrodisiac Massage Oil contains these herbs:
- Mimosa pudica root, which grows as a wonderful weed in our garden. It's long been known in Hawaii as a potent aphrodisiac when applied topically.
- Kava kava (Piper methysticum) is one of our favorite plants in the Garden. A classic Polynesian beverage, made from the root, is wonderful for relaxing and reducing anxiety. PLUS--it has strong aphrodisiac properties!
- Galangal ginger, from our friends at Josanna's Organic Farm in nearby Kapoho.
- Passionflower leaves and flowers from our own Passiflora incarnata vines.
- Burdock (gobo) from organic growers at the Hilo farmers market.
- Damiana (Turnera aphrodisiaca) is a shrub native to Central and South America. Although we purchase this important herb in dry form, we believe in it as a powerful aphrodisiac because it is a male and female sexual stimulant used to treat erectile dysfunction and anorgasmia (the inability to achieve orgasm). It's also good for toning, balancing and strengthening the central nervous system and for emotional stress, depression and anxiety.
